The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for achieving departmental/area goals and objectives. This individual supervises semi
- to highly-skilled production and/or maintenance Team Members to ensure the maintenance of equipment within established delivery, quality, safety, and cost standards. The supervisor is the first-line liaison between the production Team Members and the management staff.

This individual must ensure compliance to all health and safety policies, rules and regulations and universal housekeeping standards. He or she is expected to meet or exceed production, efficiency and quality requirements at all times. This is a Day Shift position.

- Recommending/implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the entire plant is health and safety-conscious
- Manage staff to ensure execution with high quality standards
- Ensure that maintenance personnel are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to ensure the maintenance program is accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
- Initiating/executing projects to improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs
- Communicating directly with other departments to ensure plant projects and activities are coordinated
- Assist with time and attendance management -timecard management and vacation scheduling
- Coordinating of your own work flow/tasks and the work/tasks of others
- Coaching, training and evaluating Team Members

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in mechanical/ engineering or electrical field is an asset
- Supervisory experience within a manufacturing facility is an asset
- Experience with CMMS software, Datastream MP2 maintenance software is an asset
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment, instrumentation, and electrical equipment
- Progressive leader, having a sense of urgency and a drive for constant change and improvement
- Preventative and Predictive Maintenance mindset, with ability to influence change
- Proven track record of maintaining a large maintenance department with weekly PM tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Health & Safety and other applicable regulations
- Proficiency in computer software including MS Word, Outlook and Excel
