**Position**: On Call Supervisor

**Location**: Anselma House in Kitchener and Haven House in Cambridge

**Status**: Contract - One week at a time rotation of on call duties, Friday at 5pm to the following Friday at 9am. Number of weeks cannot be guaranteed.

**Renumeration**: $250/week

So, how do we define an **On Call Supervisor**? As the On Call Supervisor, you will report to the Director of Programs and Services and be responsible for on-call duties for residential programs on your scheduled weeks. In the unlikely event that there is not staff to work an overnight or weekend shift you would be expected to fill the shift or partial shift.

The main buckets of work will include;
- Receiving calls during the week on call, providing direction, scheduling and support to Residential Workers and Relief Residential Workers.
- Reporting high risk situations (as per agency policy), safety/security and resident or public grievances. Following up with unusual and complex problems and policy interpretations.
- Maintaining awareness and managing risks to clients, staff and the organization.
- Holding staff responsible for compliance with agency values, shelter standards and policies.
- Keeping management up to date appropriately on all related maters.
- Acting as an advocate for WCSWR and for individual clients.
- Attending quarterly virtual on-call meetings to discuss on-call themes and on-call schedule with fellow on-call managers/supervisors
- Master Degree in Social Work (MSW) degree, along with a minimum of three years management experience in the VAW field.
- Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Registered Social Workers or equivalent registered organization.
- Three to five years of management and supervisory experience is required. This would include meeting facilitation, highly developed interpersonal skills, communication and recording skills and conflict resolution.

- Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to be decisive in crisis situations.
- Strong knowledge of feminism and understanding of diversity, Anti-racism and Anti-oppression - cross-cultural perspective and awareness.
- The ability to travel between our locations in Kitchener and Cambridge.

We do also have some **general employment eligibility requirements**;
- Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations
