Job Description: **COORDINATOR, SAFETY, HEALTH & SECURITY** 12-month Term Victoria **The Opportunity** We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our Safety, Health & Security team. As part of this dynamic results-driven team, you provide high-level, efficient and confidential administrative support to the Executive Director and the Safety, Health & Security Team. You act as a liaison for BCF internal and external stakeholders, you maintain current knowledge of departmental programs, objectives, budget and service delivery. **The role** Reporting to the Executive Director, Safety, Health & Security, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as: - Supporting the office of the Executive Director in all aspects of the efficient operation of the department and other department managers as requested - Establishing and managing administrative procedures and guidelines to ensure effective coordination and timeliness of responsibilities - Maintaining current knowledge of departmental programs, mandates, objectives, issues, budgets and service delivery - Ascertaining the nature and scope of key issues and concerns, prioritizing and managing daily demands using sound judgements and decision-making - Liaising with senior management, staff, clients, project consultants, regulatory authorities and other internal and external stakeholders - Tracking and analyzing passenger injuries on a monthly basis - Supporting the formal investigation process with scheduling interviews, booking meeting spaces and tracking reviews - Coordinating the completion of monthly Designated Person Ashore (DPA) reports for the President & CEO and quarterly reports for the Board of Directors, gathering inputs from various team members and ensuring accuracy - Leading the coordination of departmental meetings, SailSafe Advisory Council, Operations Policy and Risk Review Committee (OPRRC) and Operational Joint Safety Committee **What you bring to the team** You are a self-starter, are highly organized and a proficient team player. You have a certificate or diploma in office administration or other related field. You bring 5 years of experience as a Coordinator, as well as 2 years progressive administrative experience, supplemented by a strong background in business/and/or office administration.
