**Job Description**:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Director, Wellness & Ability Management, the Manager, Health, Wellness & Psychological Safety participates as a key member of the Health, Wellness, Safety and Ability Management Leadership team. The Manager provides leadership in the strategic planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of programming and services related to communicable disease prevention, wellness and psychological safety.

Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
University degree and 7-10 plus years of experience, including 3-5 years of experience in management/leadership, in the field of wellness, psychological safety, project management, change management, and quality improvement experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Valid BC Driver's License.

- Ability to encourage and support innovation by creating a climate of continuous improvement and creativity aimed at systemic change.
- Ability to orient self strategically to the future by continually scanning the environment for ideas, leading practices, and emerging trends that will shape the system.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
