At HEB Manitoba, our Pension Administration department takes a supportive and proactive approach to providing industry-leading service to our members.
Reporting to the Manager, Plan Administration, the **Plan Administrator** will be a key member of a dedicated team committed to providing service excellence in the administration of our various benefit plans.
HEB Manitoba is looking for a _pension, benefits or financial administrator_ to become part of our professional team. This energetic group is responsible for assisting our healthcare members by providing accurate information on their pension entitlements.

- Enhance your knowledge about HEB Manitoba Plan documents, procedures, contractual provisions and Plan texts.
- Become familiar with HEB Manitoba’s internal software systems.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Your responsibilities will increase to include:_
- Handle requests via multiple mediums from members and provide valuable service.
- Prepare and analyze pension and benefit calculations.
- Address member concerns, escalating issues to management as required.
- Review of associated documentation for retirements, estimates, reciprocal transfers etc. within corporate and legislated timelines.
- Initiate payment processes for terminating and retiring members.
**Qualifications for Your Success**:
- Experience & Education_
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field.
- Two plus years’ experience in the pension, benefits and/or financial industry. Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution pension experience will help you to excel in this role.
- Coursework completed towards the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC) is considered an asset.
*An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Knowledge, Competencies & Skills_
- A professional member service attitude that is proactive and delivered with empathy.
- Working knowledge of provincial legislation such as The Pension Benefits Act and the Income Tax Act.
- Demonstrated strengths in written, oral and interpersonal communication.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to integrate and work well with team members in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
