Concierge & Tour Sales (Downtown Toronto)

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and sales oriented staff for concierge tour desks in a variety of hotels in downtown Toronto. As a representative for both the hotel where you are located and the tour desk operator by whom you will be employed, you will be responsible for welcoming guests and assisting them throughout their stay. Applicants should have excellent people skills and a positive, upbeat personality.

Key responsibilities within this role include (but are not limited to):

- Actively selling and promoting both company and authorized third party products. This will include making reservations, confirming reservations, obtaining tickets for shows, tours and booking transportation as required
- Distributing promotional material
- Dealing with customer questions, reservations and ticket purchases both in person and by phone
- Answering general information requests (e.g. providing information on available facilities and services within the hotel and the surrounding area
- Maintaining a working knowledge of upcoming events and sharing that knowledge with other departments and locations
- Assisting with guest business needs (such as internet and sending faxes etc)
- Preparing and sending sales reports
- Communicating regularly with managers
- Maintaining accurate cash and credit card handling practices
- Handling incoming guest mail, faxes, packages when applicable; maintaining mail logs for both incoming and delivered mail, faxes, and packages
- Monitoring and contributing to publications on company social media sites
- Assisting hotel staff with check in/out services during busy periods
- Maintaining the high standard of individual hotels regarding customer service and satisfaction
- Following both company and hotel policy and procedure at all times
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Applicant Requirements:

- A proven aptitude in sales & customer service
- Self motivation and reliability
- Ability to work with mínimal to no supervision in a fast paced environment
- An exceptional work ethic
- Availability to work a variety of shifts: Days, evenings, and weekends
- A positive outgoing personality
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Computer skills required (Excel, Word, internet search engines)
- Ability to lift objects up to 10kg
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Second languages are an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $16.00 per hour
