As Data, Analytics & Research Manager, you will be an integral part of the Growth team supporting the agency's roadmap to achieve our strategic vision.
The Saint John region is going through a resurgence with significant investment in its Port with increased shipping container capacity and new links to three class A rail lines that provide access to some of the highest-density population in North America. An undeniable base of energy assets that can harness our future's clean energy goals. A compelling Health & Technology District combined with the Integrated Health Initiative (IH) that will change the health care sector in New Brunswick and so much more.
This is a unique opportunity for a data, analytics, and research specialist to join a highly innovative and collaborative organization - someone who is driven to affect lasting positive change for their community.
**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Vice President, you will:
- Support the Agency and Agency partners through data collection, analysis, modeling, and forecasting.
- Leverage data visualization techniques and effectively communicate quality data and analytics solutions internally and externally.
- Creat e plans and roadmaps for data and analytics initiatives.
- Research and effectively articulate best practices, new opportunities, and trends in support of growth projects and initiatives.
- Oversee and manage the Agency's CRM including optimizing reporting functionality.
- Support the management of the Regional Growth Dashboard including data collection,
- data presentation, and analysis.
- Contribute data and research to projects and initiatives, that will support regional growth readiness, catalyze private sector investment and growth in the region.
- Proactively share key insights and information across the Agency.
- Take on other responsibilities and initiatives as required.
**Your qualifications**:
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline including business, economics, computer science, or statistics.
- 3-5 years experience in related fields and/or disciplines.
- You have experience executing analytics and research projects.
- You have demonstrated problem-solving and project-management skills.
- You bring a proven track record of distilling data, statistics, and research, and communicating it in a clear and compelling way.
- Recognized for your ability to understand sometimes ambiguous needs, and translate to clear, aligned requirements.
- Able to work independently with business partners to understand requirements quickly, perform analysis, and deliver recommendations.
- You are dynamic and driven team player and have demonstrable evidence of success, in these areas: self-responsibility, high ambition and drive, positive outlook, high self-awareness, goal setting, managing, accountability, and collaboration.
- You thrive in a fast-paced work environment and are motivated to make a difference in your community.
- English - both written and verbal. Bilingualism (French & English) considered an asset.
