**How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?**:
The main object and purpose of this position is to coordinate the activities of the Logistics activities and to supply internal & external customers by coordinating cylinder routes for all the region’s satellites. The incumbent is

responsible for optimizing distribution efficiency and minimizing costs in order to ensure excellent customer

service, while observing regulations for the transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) and promoting Air Liquide Canada’s quality and safety objectives. Also, the mandate of the coordinator includes the responsibility of asset management as well as the inventory precision for bottles activities.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Coordinates Logistics Centre activities: Ensures that the Logistics centers inventory levels meet customer
requirements and corporate objectives in order to prevent stock backorders. Ensures the observance of delivery
schedules for the Logistics centres of the region as well as for the customers. Prepares orders for the logistic
centers and make the follow-up of back-orders. Coordinate the special gases shipping and the cylinder exchange
process.

2. Optimizes resources: Participate to the reviews on ‘’Interbranch’’ routes of the region’s to detect
inefficiencies, and submits an improvement plan. Participates in the installation and maintenance of Arc Logistics
routing software in the satellites in order to establish more efficient delivery routes. Ensures the good operation of
delivery and logistic processes among satellite coordinators, so as to identify and solve all related problems and
find new ways to improve efficiency.
3. Keeps files up-to-date: Updates all files required by federal and provincial regulations, e.g. on the
transportation of dangerous goods (TDG), etc.. Prepare transportation documents for each cylinders shipping
transiting from the logistic center where it is located. Verifies shipping & receiving of the cylinders. Manages the
request for propane permit for the region. Keeps updated the shipping registers.
4. Quality/Safety: Participates in promoting ALC’s safety objectives. Participates to quarterly meetings of the
Safety Committee. Provides improvement elements concerning the security on the site. Knows and follows all
procedures as indicated in the Quality Manual. Ensures the implementation of corrective actions and preventive
measures.
5. Process improvement: Works with his/her team and multifunctional teams to continuously improve the work
process. Ensures that procedures are put in place. Identifies the causes of problems; proposes and implements
appropriate corrective actions.
6. Ensure the precision of the inventory: Works to maintain, in all sites under his responsibility, accurate
inventories while assuring that the structure, processes and behaviours are in line with corporate strategy. Ensure the
follow-up of order for internal & external customers. Verifies the quality of received snd shipped merchandise ,
makes the follow-up of back-orders and is responsible for inventory adjustments. Communicates with internal
customers, plants and suppliers about differences between quantities or missing items. Determines errors and makes
sure that correctives actions are taken. Participate in asset management cycling inventory count of Anjou center

TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE
- Diploma: College degree in road transportation logistics or management, or the equivalent in transportation

experience.
- Training: Training in safety / TDG.
- Knowledge: Practical knowledge of trucks, safe working practices, MS Office, routing software.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

At least five (5) years of experience in the field of road transportation, and professional experience in a unionized

workplace. Solid experience in logistics would be an asset.
