Business Analyst

SureWerx is a national supplier of tool, equipment and safety product lines for the Canadian and US markets. Our range of products includes abrasives, air tools, hand tools, material handling, lifting equipment and safety apparel and products. SureWerx is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada with six branch offices located in the major cities across Canada and SureWerx USA is headquartered is in Elgin, Illinois.

As a competitive leader, our business is always growing and evolving and we are currently accepting resumes for a Business Analyst. Reporting to the Director of Business Applications, this position is responsible for supporting the company’s overall information technology architecture (internal and external). This includes the day-to-day management of the information systems including experience supporting a distribution system, software programs, server maintenance, report writing and technical support to end users of SureWerx globally. This is a service and customer-oriented organization passionately managed by a team of talented professionals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop business and systems requirements for projects using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis;
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs;
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and develop functional requirements;
- Cleanse and reconciliation of master data in preparation for multiple ERP integrations running in parallel;
- Plan and deliver an organized approach to system conversions of business units;
- Implement system procedures and train end users;
- Experience in integrating business systems within the corporate information technology environment;
- Provide leadership for system enhancements, improvements and conversions of various business units;
- Review departmental requests for technology and makes appropriate recommendation(s);
**Education and Competencies**
- A post-secondary education in the field of Computer Science;
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar environment supporting multiple locations and business units and a wholesale distribution system;
- Prelude experience an asset;
- General understanding of communications - network, modems, internet, other lines of data communication;
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal;
- A business professional with a financial aptitude, attention to detail and ability to work within a fast-paced and high-volume environment;
- Analytical, logical thinker and problem solver;
- A highly motivated individual who possesses high standards and the utmost integrity;
- Prior work experience in a wholesale distribution environment is an asset;
- Overtime and a flexible approach to your workday are expected in this position.

**Salary**: $62,093.71-$80,000.00 per year
