Accounts Payable Specialist

Our Kingsville Head Office Location is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist** **to join our Finance team. The essential function of this position is maintenance of vendor accounts, including ensuring the validity of all charges to the company through receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling all vendor invoices.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Reconcile company prepared documentation or vendor packing slips received by the company to vendor invoices.
- Post vendor invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts and ensuring that all reportable taxes have been identified and posted properly.
- Match all appropriate documentation (i.e. company prepared, packing slip/bill of ladings, invoices and statements) to prepare invoices for payment.
- Prepare and/or process payments to the vendors.
- Reconcile supplier statements to company records to ensure completeness of all vendor charges.
- Assist with related special projects as required.
- Basic filing or relevant vendor documentation, including invoices, bill of ladings, checque remittances and other vendor correspondence.
- Performs general office duties, as required.
- Other duties as assigned

**Education/Background Requirements**:

- Accounting College/University Graduate
- Minimum 3 years related work experience preferred
- Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Solid experience in Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV considered an asset
- Must be self-motivated, ability to work autonomously with strong problems solving skills
- Ability to multi-task. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Basic analytical skills required, strong math and communication skills needed
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Be respectful and deal tactfully with customers, and other employees
- Company confidentiality agreement will be required
- Willingness to work independently, with mínimal supervision and take ownership of job
- Willingness to work with a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity
