Richmond Packaging is a fast growing manufacturing business, located in Richmond BC. We are a national company with a customer base that spans across Canada and the USA.

We are looking to hire an experienced Manufacturing Planner/Scheduling Manager to improve speed, dependability and visibility within our operations to exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery. In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for overall planning and scheduling of production. In addition you will be creating, monitoring, and reporting on the work order status, and act as a key liaison between our Sales, Manufacturing and Shipping teams.

**Core responsibilities**:

- Plan and coordinate production orders.
- Manage the movement of work orders through all manufacturing operations.
- Daily data entry for tracking production and company KPI’s.
- Manage inventory and stock programs.
- Work with the production team on implementing new office systems.
- Support other customer service team members as needed.
- Provide continuous improvement suggestions for the planning and reporting processes.

**Other requirements for this position include**:

- 5+ years planning experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to set priorities and work efficiently.
- Strong understanding of shop floor control and capacity planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage simple and complex projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and move efficiently between different responsibilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team player.
- Experience and proficiency in Word and Excel.
