**A day in the life of a Sales Manager**

As the Sales Manager, you are responsible for the successful operations of all aspects of the Sales Department in the dealership. Working with a strong team of individuals who complement each other, you will be a key member in consistently driving the business forward. You will be with your clients every step of the way, taking them from test drive to delivery.

**You will also**:

- Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the New and Pre-Owned Automotive Sales personnel
- Measure the activities of each sales representative to ensure that their marketing activities will produce intended sales production
- Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts for the department
- Monitor department profitability and take responsibility for corrective measures
- Lot management and merchandising of vehicles
- Work cohesively with other dealership departments to ensure ultimate functionality
- Lead, coach, and mentor staff and take your team to the finish line
- Meet each customer in our showroom and assist sales consultants with follow-up with customers
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**
- A proven track record of setting and achieving sales targets
- Financial knowledge of dealership operations
- 3-5 years of previous automotive sales experience
- Previous experience as a team leader/mentor/coach
