**HUMAN RESOURCES CLERK**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Human Resources Clerk will support the Senior Manager, Human Resources with various administrative tasks.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date administrative records
- Prepares hiring letters and onboarding packages
- Prepares job postings for circulation and posts on various platforms
- Assists with the preparation and distribution of human resources correspondence (e.g. employment letters)
- Assists with processing police checks and following up with new hire documents
- Assists with recruitment and selection by screening resumes and setting up interviews
- Assists in the onboarding process, including orientation
- Any other duties/special projects as assigned by the Senior Manager

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bilingual FR/EN preferred to assist with translating documents
- Enrolled in or completion of a relevant undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized college or university requiring three (3) years of study
- Must have intermediate computer skills and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Highly detail oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy;
- Ability to manage confidential information and deal with sensitive issues;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work with a range of people within a multi-cultural unionized environment.

This is a full-time contract position for 12 weeks, 35 hours weekly, funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

**Starting Wage**:$18.00/Hour

**WORK SCHEDULE**

Monday to Friday with evenings and weekend flexibility as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 weeks

Pay: $18.00 per hour
