The position of **HR Generalist**, under the direction of the Director of Human Resources is primarily responsible for the delivery of operational HR activities and objectives. This includes the areas of Recruitment, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Benefit Administration, HR Analytics Reporting and Engagement projects. The position provides advice to employees in the areas of Provincial Employment Law, Occupational Health & Safety, Human Rights Code, AODA and interpretation of company policies and procedures.
**This job entails**:
- Employee relations: build and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees; help develop strong communication plans and company programs that foster a healthy positive culture that promotes growth and retention.
- HR Customer Service: Advise and assist all employees in the areas of Company policies, benefit plans, Golden Windows programs and resolution of issues. Escalating as appropriate.
- Payroll and compensation: Provide necessary documents to payroll for processing of weekly payroll and act as a back up. Assist in resolving payroll-related issues/inquiries, maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- On-boarding: conduct orientation for all new employees and ensure training provided covers introduction to key Golden policies/procedures and meets legislative requirements. Ensures paperwork is completed and processed on time.
- Participate in the development and implementation of effective employment-related programs such as recruitment and resource planning, retention, performance management, employee engagement by preparing recommendations and developing execution strategies.
- Create monthly reports to identify and determine root causes of company trends and develop recommendations for improvement of Human Resources policies and practices.
- Benefit Plan Admin: Enrol new employees, ensure accuracy of information, answer questions, participate in plan design and education of employees.
- Performance Management: assist Group Leaders/Managers with the process so reviews are completed on time.
- To always perform work safely and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent
- 3 - 5 years of progressive Human Resources work experience
- CHRP/CHRL designation is preferred and considered an asset
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use Microsoft office suite ie Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills working with diverse groups
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
