Benchmark Developments Limited, a premier property owner and manager, is seeking a skilled and dedicated **Carpenter/Building Technician** to join our team. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties in **Truro, NS**. If you have a passion for carpentry and building maintenance, and you thrive in a professional environment, we want to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including renovations, framing, drywall, finishing, repairs, and painting.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of properties.
- Address and resolve building maintenance issues, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards of safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with property management and other team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Comply with all company policies and safety regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a carpenter +/or building technician.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Clean criminal background check.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Must be currently able to work in Nova Scotia.

**What We Offer**:

- Competitive wage based on skill and experience. ($20 - $30 per hr)
- Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Some evening and week end work, as needed.

**Contact**:
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 80 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
