**Job Description of Abundance Social Enterprise Coordinator**
The Abundance Social Enterprise Coordinator is a full-time position responsible to the Abundance Program Manager under the Executive Director.
Position Scope: Abundance Social Enterprise Coordinator is a full-time staff person responsible to the Abundance Program Manager. The coordinator is expected to function within the philosophy and principles, rules of work, policies, and procedures of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia. They are expected to work within the Abundance Program team to take initiative in the business development and sustainability of the social enterprise, the Abundance Store. This coordinator will contribute to the day-to-day function and success of the Abundance store and will manage promotions, brand messaging, social media, and special events. They will lead the promotional event planning and lead sales initiatives for the store. Further, this individual is expected to support women, girls, and gender diverse individuals in participating in the project by providing clients with on-site professional development support.
**About the Abundance Thrift Store**
The Abundance Thrift Store is a social enterprise run by the Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia with 100% of proceeds going back into programming. The store serves as a fair chance workplace for women and gender diverse people who are at risk of criminalization, it’s an uplifting work space for community members to gain meaningful employment experience through an employment program and to access wrap around supports.
**Hours**:
The position is 40 hours weekly, 5 days a week. The Abundance Store operates between 10am-5pm
- Monday to Saturday with some exceptions due to special events or accommodation for clients.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Provide direct support to the professional development of program participants at the store.
- Contribute to the day-to-day functions of the Abundance store including cleaning, receiving and organizing donations, or laundry, either directly or through delegation of tasks to sales associates.
- Re-donate or manage resale of unused and unsold clothing at the store.
- Network with community partners, attend community networking events.
- Promote and raise awareness about the Abundance Store.
- Take leadership in planning special events and sales at the store or in community, such as pop-up shops and markets.
- Provide opportunities for program participants to engage in supporting new initiatives and special events.
- Lead management of social media accounts, with support of the Abundance Program Manager and Program Participants.
- Manage the branding, pricing, and promotional material for the Abundance Store under direction of the Abundance Program Manager.

**Job Specific Assets**:
- Social services or social sciences-related undergraduate degree or diploma (university or college) or lived experience relevant to the mandate of the society.
- At least one year of customer service or retail-related experience.
- At least one year of experience with business and entrepreneurship.
- Experience volunteering or working for non-profit organizations is an asset.
- An ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must have either a car or another reliable mode of transportation
