Reporting to the Director of Communications & Sustainability, the Communications and Marketing Coordinator will support the execution of the communication strategy across numerous transportation brands. Communication efforts will largely be targeted at marketing internally to employees and contractors with some development of external communication using a variety of communication methods (traditional and social). Specifically, the Communications and Marketing Coordinator will:

- Support the development and planning of communications strategies and programs within multiple business groups to market internal programs to employees and contractors
- Create content for media channels (internal newsletters, digital messaging boards, intranet / SharePoint / Employee online portals / website, social media channels)
- Execute on the standards and schedules for routine employee and contractor communication
- Support the planning and development of social media marketing content
- Manage and monitor activity on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), respond to direct messages on these accounts, engage on the platforms with followers and engage on platforms with the accounts of industry associations etc.
- Support new website content development as needed
- Develop internal and external marketing content consistent with our brand and work with external vendors to produce marketing materials.
- Maintain accuracy of employee and contractor contact lists
- Provide communications services to other corporate service functions within the business as required / requested
- Assist in other communications and marketing activities and projects as required.

**Requirements**:

- Undergraduate degree or diploma in business, marketing and/or communications, journalism or public relations or combination of relevant education and experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint, Canva, PDF Editor and any other relevant creative / design and communication software.
- Experience with social media channel management
- Strong writing / editing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

This role will allow for flexible work arrangements including hybrid work from home on a set schedule once the onboarding period is complete.
