Navitas is seeking to employ a **Student Services Coordinator (1-Year Contract)** to join our North American team in **Winnipeg, Manitoba.**
The **Student Services Coordinator**plays a key operational role in supporting the strategic planning and day-to-day delivery of services that enhance student success, academic support, and the overall student experience at the College. The position ensures the smooth coordination of student programming, instructor-focused initiatives, and administrative systems that contribute to student retention, engagement, and transition to the University Partner.
This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively and communicating with professionalism and tact.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the student services teams across all areas of student life to help ensure a smooth transition into the College and to the University Partner.
- Assist in the implementation and management of strategic enrolment systems, focusing on retention, success, and student experience.
- Coordinate professional development sessions and training for teaching staff and other College employees.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by compiling and preparing data for reporting, analysis, and presentation.
- Foster professional excellence among teaching staff by supporting initiatives related to student learning needs.
- Maintain breadth of knowledge required to engage in one-on-one advising of college students.
- Facilitate and enforce academic integrity and academic probation policies in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Support the creation and maintenance of academic communication resources and materials.
- Support the delivery of instructional staff programming that supports the institution in achieving strategic goals, including but not limited to:
- Workshops
- Professional development events
- Learning management system training
- Academic integrity initiatives
- Onboarding (instructors and direct reports)
- Community engagement activities
- Other duties as required
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SELECTION CRITERIA**
- A degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
- Experience in a higher education environment working with students and faculty.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, promote, facilitate, monitor, and evaluate individual learning programs and group learning events, including professional development for instructional staff.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills with the capacity to manage all functions of a busy office.
- High-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to consult, counsel, and liaise with diverse stakeholders while handling confidential and sensitive matters with discretion.
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency and comprehensive familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, as well as internet and intranet technologies.
- Understanding of academic expectations and challenges faced by international students, particularly related to transition into post-secondary studies.
- Legal right to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work permit).
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on College needs.
**DESIRABLE SKILLS**
- Experience in a pathway College
- Experience in a multicultural environment or with international students
- Experience with database management systems and learning management systems
- Experience in the supervision and management of instructional staff
**Physical Requirements**
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work for long periods of time at a workstation or desk and must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time. The person in this position frequently communicates with students and staff and must be able to converse with others in an exchange of accurate information in a clear and concise manner. The employee will need to frequently move about inside the office and around partner campus locations to access files and interact with students and other staff members.
