**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Administrator, the Director of Care is a key member of the home’s leadership team, responsible for the overall management of clinical services. This includes staff leadership, care planning, compliance, resident and family relations, quality improvement, and health and safety initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the nursing department to deliver safe, person-centered care
- Ensure compliance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, Ministry standards, and internal protocols
- Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of clinical staff
- Manage clinical programs including IPAC, falls prevention, and wound care
- Participate in audits, inspections, and CQI initiatives
- Collaborate with families, staff, and external health providers
- Promote and maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and wellness

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (required)
- BScN or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Managerial or Supervisory: 3 years (required)
- Registered Nurse in LTC: 1 year (required)

**Licence/Certification**:

- Valid Nursing License with the College of Nurses of Ontario (required)

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
