**ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CARE FOR ST. JOSEPH'S VILLA**

The primary goal of the Assistant Director of Care is to work alongside the Director of Care and the clinical team to ensure our long-term care residents are receiving high quality, person-centred care that is in alignment with our values of Dignity, Excellence, Service, and Integrity. The Assistant Director of Care serves as a resource for infection prevention and control (IPAC) initiatives in the home and is a leader in quality improvement to ensure the clinical services provided by our staff continue to be in alignment with best practices, accreditation standards, the _Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act_, and other legislative and regulatory requirements as applicable. The Assistant Director of Care assists the Director of Care in working with the interprofessional team to nurture the work environment and the care environment to promote caring, compassion, and psychological health and wellbeing.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- RN Diploma or Degree with current CNO Registration
- A minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience, preferably in a Long-Term Care environment
- Solid foundation in frontline nursing with at least five years of nursing experience, preferably with at least one year in a long term care setting
- Extensive knowledge of the _Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act_ and regulations is preferred
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and serve in a leadership/mentorship role in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Proven ability to facilitate and manage change, and to be flexible, innovative and creative
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with residents, families, staff, the Ministry of Long-term Care, community partners and the general public
- Bilingualism is a an asset
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (2 Doses)

Pay: $39.58-$52.86 per hour
