We have an opening for a **Production Supervisor/Assistant to support daily operations,**oversee production staff, and ensure efficient use of our equipment, including abrasion peelers, dicers, conveyors, optical sorters, and onion peelers. This role requires a hands-on leader who can maintain quality standards and drive team performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in supervising a team of production workers to meet daily output goals.
- Monitor equipment performance (e.g., peelers, dicers, optical sorters) and coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs or adjustments.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and quality control processes.
- Train and mentor staff on operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Track production metrics and assist in preparing shift reports for management.
- Step in to operate equipment or assist the team during peak production periods.
- Resolve minor operational issues and escalate complex problems to senior supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized production floor in compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required; a diploma or degree in Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field is an asset.
- 2-4 years of experience in a production or supervisory role, preferably in food processing.
- Familiarity with industrial food processing equipment (e.g., conveyors, sorters, peelers) is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with production and inventory systems and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or evenings as needed.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

**Additional Duties**:

- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Production Manager, such as supporting facility upkeep or assisting during peak maintenance periods.

**Working Hours**:

- **Standard hours of work during the training period shall be from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., inclusive of a thirty (30) minute unpaid meal break each shift.**:

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
