The primary responsibility of the National Fleet Manager is to provide assistance to the Director, National Fleet. This position will provide support and a high level of service to Fleet Coordinators and various Business Stakeholders for new services provided nationally to manage our fleet of over 2,700 vehicles across North America. The primary focus will be on supporting new initiatives, assisting in establishing business processes and administration of programs policies and procedures. This role will contribute to the achievement of strategic fleet goals by participating in various fleet projects and other related initiatives.
- Support Director, National Fleet with oversight of fleet projects
- Ability to develop new policies and procedures
- Responsible for creating and executing new business processes
- Update and revise necessary fleet specific information on SharePoint
- Responsible for the implementation and deployment of new services provided regionally across North America to our Business and fleet stakeholders
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of tasks
- Create necessary fleet specific information for the fleet SharePoint site
- Accountable for identifying required data and report types required to support the management of the regional fleets
- Provide guidance to the sites in deploying, operating, maintaining, upgrading, and disposing of fleet assets cost-effectively
- Oversee the Taxable Benefits policy and responsible for all year end activities
- Oversee Commercial Vehicle and Driver Operations
- Ensure appropriate execution and compliance with fleet policies and procedures
- Data entry, collection, and interpretation from various sources
- Participate in data gathering, preparation and delivery of various reports
- Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- University degree or post-secondary diploma/certificate an asset

**WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 7 years direct experience in the fleet industry
- Previous customer service or operations experience also required

**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Direct working knowledge of a fleet management system
- Working knowledge of JDE or a large ERP system
- Initiative-taker with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of how to establish a project outline
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Writing Policy and Procedures
