**Chiquitzin Leader Volunteer**

**Volunteering overview**:
Join us as a Chiquitzin Leader for Latin American Experience and Carnaval del Sol This vital role involves designing, planning, and leading engaging activities across the Family Plaza, Senior Plaza, and Kids Area. As a Chiquitzin Leader, you will coordinate with various teams and suppliers to ensure the smooth execution of events. You’ll also oversee and manage volunteers, fostering a positive and enjoyable environment for all participants.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and plan activities for the Family Plaza, Senior Plaza, and Kids Area.
- Coordinate logistics with teams and suppliers to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee and manage volunteers during kids’ activities, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain open communication with the organizing team to ensure alignment on goals and schedules.
- Create a welcoming and safe environment for families and children participating in activities.
- Gather feedback from participants and volunteers to improve future events.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Previous leadership roles in similar settings are preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and volunteers.
- Experience in event planning or coordination, especially in family-focused environments.
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic setting.
- Passion for community engagement and working with children and families.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.

**Duration**: April 28 - July 27 / 15 - 20 hours per week
