**Location**:Fort Erie, ON
**Reports To**: National Production Manager
**Summary**
Reporting to the National Production Manager, the Production Manager takes on the responsibility and accountability of quality and yield of production at their respective facility. While managing the production process to ensure efficiencies, process’ and procedures are followed and consistently reviewed to support the business unit.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership and direction for extraction, packaging and production processes
- Provide strong staff leadership and ensure training, performance management, and employee development practices are implemented
- Coordinate with Sr. Management to identify what will enter production on specific timelines
- Develop and manage schedules
- Ensure optimal labour utilization is achieved through the scheduling of labour relative to production schedules
- Ensure staff are trained on regulatory and quality requirements and are operating in a compliant manner
- Identify and implement cost saving measures to ensure production costs are within an acceptable level
- Continually identify measures to increase quality and yield
- Display strong staff leadership qualities and ensure training, progressive disciplinary actions, performance management, and employee development practices are implemented and executed;
- Liaise with Director to identify production milestones and address production risks;
- Develop strategies of continuous improvement to ensure effective and efficient production practices, and maintain excellent product quality;
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Person to ensure consistent quality practices throughout the processing operations, staff activities, and training delivery;
- Deliver and maintain accurate tracking and reporting of all departmental data points;
- Meet with Employees of all levels of the organization to communicate updates on Processing
- Maintain staffing levels and develop operational stability with a focus on strategic redundancy and succession planning
- Schedule multiple shift labor force to ensure that refined extracts and extract-based products are manufactured on-time, and produced to strict quality standards
- Ensure the effective execution of goals, targets and objectives with established company policy, procedure and requirements (Safety, Quality, Compliance & KPI’s)
- Identify areas for waste reduction and process flow improvements
- Monitor use and inventories of extraction chemicals and supplies, maintain appropriate supply levels
- Knowledge of and experience with compliance requirements of cannabis production and processes;
- Lead, coach, mentor and train team members

**Qualifications / Skills**:

**Education and Experience, Requirements**:
- 3-5 years of production/manufacturing experience; not limited to cannabis; pharmaceuticals, food production or agriculture;
- Knowledge and experience with extraction processes an asset;
- Experience in GMP an asset;
- ERP experience an asset;
- Ability to work in a fast paced and growing environment;
- Experience Leading / Managing a team of up to 20 individuals or more ;
- Experience using Microsoft suite Outlook, Word, Excel (intermediate/advanced), Teams, etc.;
- Experience in creating and auditing production reports, and conducting detailed forensic data investigation;
- Strong inventory and production management skills;
- Must possess excellent communication skills;.
- Capable of multi-tasking, with mínimal supervision;
