**Job Summary**:
As the Manufacturing Manager at Fleet Canada Inc., you will oversee the production process, ensuring that all chemical and composite manufacturing operations run efficiently and safely, while meeting high-quality standards.

This role requires someone with a passion for continuous improvement, a solid understanding of chemical processes, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage production activities in chemical processing and composite manufacturing, ensuring all processes are executed with efficiency and precision.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager to develop and achieve departmental goals, focusing on quality, safety, and delivery targets.
- Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement, particularly in areas involving chemical handling and composite material production.
- Provide coaching and training to team members, fostering skill development and a culture of accountability.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, quality standards, and industry requirements related to chemical processing and composites.
- Monitor and review plant equipment and systems to reduce downtime and improve performance, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules, quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize on-time delivery, reduce costs, and enhance productivity, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SPQDC).
- Maintain high employee morale, focusing on talent retention and leadership development within the team.
- Enforce discipline and ensure compliance with all company policies and safety protocols.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Processing, Manufacturing, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on chemical processing and composite materials.
- Proven leadership experience in a production management role.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, especially related to chemical handling and hazardous materials.
- Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement and managing large teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and cost control.
- **Technical Proficiency**: You have a deep understanding of chemical processes and composite materials, with the ability to manage complex manufacturing operations. Experience in leading chemical or composite production teams is highly desirable.
