Oak Medical Arts is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented **Clinic Receptionist** to join our team at the Academy Pharmacy and Clinic location. This role is ideal for someone passionate about healthcare who enjoys providing exceptional patient service and thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

**Position Summary**

As a **Clinic Receptionist**, you will be the first point of contact for patients visiting our clinic. You will play a critical role in managing daily administrative tasks, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and helping create a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients. Your duties will include managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, and supporting the administrative needs of our healthcare team.

In addition to your clinic responsibilities, you will also receive training to assist in the pharmacy. This cross-training will allow you to gain valuable experience in pharmacy operations, broadening your skills and versatility within our healthcare environment.

**Clinic Receptionist Responsibilities**

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- **Appointment Scheduling & Management**:

- Booking and managing patient appointments using our EMR system
- Checking patients in and out for their appointments, ensuring accurate records
- Managing cancellations, rescheduling, and waitlists as needed
- Creating accurate and relevant appointment notes and ensuring provider preferences are met
- **Patient Interaction & Support**:

- Greeting patients warmly and providing information about clinic services
- Answering patient questions about their appointments, clinic services, and any other inquiries
- Coordinating care between multiple clinic locations as needed
- Explaining payment options and handling payments
- **Clinic Administration**:

- Maintaining and organizing patient files and updating EMR records
- Assisting with clinic billing and managing administrative paperwork
- Ensuring exam rooms are clean and prepared for the next patient
- Supporting the healthcare team with administrative duties to ensure clinic efficiency

**Training Opportunity: Pharmacy Support**

While your primary role will be in clinic administration, all **Clinic Receptionists** will receive training to support our pharmacy operations as well. This training will include:

- Assisting with prescription intake, preparation, and patient inquiries
- Supporting inventory management, including managing supplies and drug orders
- Helping the pharmacy team with blister packs, prescription documentation, and pharmacy customer service
- Learning to navigate pharmacy systems and processes (e.g., Kroll) to enhance your overall healthcare knowledge

This dual training will expand your role, allowing you to contribute to both clinic and pharmacy operations, while gaining broader experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

**Key Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a healthcare or receptionist role (preferred but not required)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems (experience with EMR systems is an asset)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment
- Interest in learning pharmacy support tasks and working as part of a collaborative healthcare team
