**Job Expectations**:
- Supporting the social and emotional engagement and growth of individuals accessing services (ages ranging from 4-65+)
- Ensuring the fulfillment of individual outcomes and needs as outlined in support plans.
- Working closely and collaboratively with families, team members and other community service providers.
- Providing personal care to youth and adults i.e., hygiene, toileting, eating, and changing.
- Providing evidence based behavioural supports to individuals with complex support needs.
- Ability to work autonomously and as an individual collaborator.
- Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a flexible work environment.
- Strict adherence to health, safety and risk management policies.
- Complete accurate notes, behavioural tracking, reports and other necessary documentation.
**Qualifications**:
- Have or be working towards a Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Social Services, Psychology, Child and Youth Care, Education, or related fields.
- Experience providing supports to youth and adults who have high risk and challenging behaviour support needs.
- Experience supporting youth and adults with Developmental Disabilities and Complex Mental Health.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple environments without significant oversight.
- A demonstrated ability to plan recreational activities, manage small budgets, complete in the moment risk assessments and problem solving and follow clinical plans.
- A demonstrated ability to provide person-centered, strength-based support in collaboration with persons receiving services and their families.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting individuals with ASD, and FASD is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ABA, DBT, CBT ASIST and NVCI are considered an asset.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid G Class Driver's License and Clean Drivers Abstract
- Valid insurance with $2 000 000 liability coverage and permission to use vehicle for work
- Reliable vehicle with ability to safely transport clients
- Medical clearance and proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required at certain worksites.
