**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of the Personal Support Worker Program or equivalent education as a RN student completion of year 2 or greater, RPN student completion of term 2 or greater
- Current CPR
- One year experience working as a Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge and experience using proper body mechanics for a one-person transport by wheelchair or stretcher
- Demonstrated understanding of proper body mechanics when pushing, pulling, lifting and transferring patients
- Working knowledge of stretchers, beds, wheelchairs, etc.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team
- Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, judgment and decision-making skills
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health's Vaccination Policy
