We are looking for a Medical Office Assistant with experience working in _**DI (Diagnostic Imaging) Clinics, and having billing experience will be an asset**_

**Qualifications We Seek**:

- Requirements include multi-tasking, 60 wpm, strong anatomy knowledge, strong patient care, ability to handle a busy environment

**Duties Include**:

- Assisting patients, technicians, sonographers, radiologists, and other team members with varying tasks to ensure the smooth running of the clinic, such as complete patient registrations, appointment bookings/rebooking’s, cancellations, equipment cleaning/autoclaving, cleaning patient rooms and other necessary duties.
- Booking all Diagnostic Imaging, Breast Imaging, Bone Densitometry, and Ultrasound appointments, Pain Management, etc.
- Completing tasks for all modalities and services diligently and accurately, which include Bookings, Re-Bookings, Appointment Reminders, Follow Ups, Requisition Intake etc.
- **Billing Responsibilities**:

- Conducting Billings Submissions: Performing conventional submissions at regular intervals as per the provided scheduling by the administration.
- Blanket Throughput Quality Control: implementing and overseeing comprehensive quality control across all submissions from RIS to Alberta Health and other third-party accounts.
- Proofreading Billing Fees: making sure that all billing fees are correct, appropriate, and justified in all PACS wrappers.
- Management of Rejected Claims: proactively address all rejected claims and their root cause by taking necessary steps to resolve them promptly. Provide reports on the rejected claims in a standardized format as per administration, alongside initiating and responding to any dialogue/discussion needed to discuss these with management as needed.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: to keep versed and remain up to date with the newest, verified billings schedule released, along with regulations, policies, and guidelines, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements set forth by the Alberta Government, Alberta Medical Association, and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of billing audit activities, including findings, actions taken, and outcomes. Generate regular reports to track billing accuracy, identify trends, and provide insights for process improvement initiatives to administration.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week

**Experience**:

- Medical office experience: 2 years (required)
