HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

**Reports to**: Director, Human Resources
**Role Status**: Full time permanent.
At Grouse Mountain Resort, human resources (HR) is focused on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it. We’re in search of a qualified and resourceful HR generalist to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, compensation and HRIS.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Provide support for the full range of HR functions for Grouse Mountain
- Assist in developing and executing human resources procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
- Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
- Maintain Human Resources Information System (Dayforce), including data entry of all employee records and report generation and analysis; act as super user / expert / trouble shooter.
- Preparation and analysis of HR data and metrics
- Support the HR Director with the development and administration of HR led training and development programs
- Maintain calendar of annual HR activities
- Participate in the preparation, planning, and execution of HR led events
- Assist in administering, compensation, and employee performance programs
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve employee experience
- Ensure legal compliance of HR with all applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
- Manage the full cycle recruitment; Support and advise operational departments with recruitment needs
- Facilitate efficient new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first day experience
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and compensation changes, position changes, terminations, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
- Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees and management in areas of recruitment, performance management, attendance management, training, and recognition
- Maintain HR Budget and corporate credit card reconciliation
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of HR policies and procedures, employee handbook, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
- Liaise with Canadian Immigration & Citizenship (CIC) to obtain work authorization for international new hires and current international staff.
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree or diploma in Human Resources or other related filed. CPHR an asset.
- Minimum of 3- 5 years of proven experience in an advisory role
- Experience with developing and delivering training & development
- Thorough knowledge of HRIS systems (preferably Ceridian), and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network across all levels in the organization
- Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Thorough knowledge of governing employment laws and regulations in British Columbia.
