- Forbo Siegling Canada is a leading manufacturer of high-quality conveyor and power transmission belting. We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated, well-organized Materials Coordinator at our branch in Mississauga, ON Canada. _
- Purpose of the job entails coordinating the activities of the branch to ensure that all materials purchased are completed in accordance with delivery schedules and quality standards as well as ensuring proper inventory levels to meet demand. _
- The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator position, under general supervision, is responsible for establishing the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the production schedule by initiating purchases for inventory or production requisitions as appropriate. _
- Position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions: _

**RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Ensures purchases are entered and inventory forecasting is monitored for accuracy against factory replies within SAP.
- Advises of any purchase and inventory discrepancies within the period.
- Ensures product purchase levels are kept within the inventory budget level.
- Prepares monthly report and recommendations for management review and upon approval prepares purchase orders from various locations.
- Analyzes backorder reports weekly and works closely with the team during the month to ensure models are current and inventory is at satisfactory levels.
- Liaises with factories to follow up on product shipping dates, ship direct requirements where applicable, air shipments, or sea shipments and export order requirements.
- Coordination and release of vendor materials to meet daily production schedules.
- Directly influence weekly and long term production requirements for all product lines, through the daily analysis of customer releases.
- Maintain target inventory levels for raw and finished goods through cycle counting and physical inventory.
- Maintain close support with Subcontractors to ensure all schedules are being met.
- Expediting of all customer and vendor requirements when necessary.
- Coordination of transportation and vendor releases to assure the timely delivery of materials and to minimize freight costs.
- Maintaining computerized inventory control system in conjunction with manual systems.
- Provide information to customs department for clearing incoming/outbound shipments, i.e. purchased items, raw material, machines, etc.

- Good computer skills (SAP and MS Office)
- Minimum two years production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Good mathematical skills

- Approachable, positive interpersonal style
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team

Pay: $21.63-$24.03 per hour
