**Timing Coordinator: Contract/Part-Time**

Sportstats is a global leader in sports event timing with over 800 events timed annually. We are a key partner to several internationally renowned running and multisport organizations as well as offering timing and results services to a wide array of small/medium-sized events. Our main Canada office in Ottawa serves over 200+ events throughout Canada and we are looking for individuals who are motivated energetic individuals to join our Ottawa team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Loading and unloading equipment.
- Setting up timing equipment such decoders, mats, networking equipment and computers
- Assisting the lead timer with results production
- Assisting in shipping duties before and after events.
- Working above and beyond the task’s requirement to ensure a successful event

Position requirements:

- Able to be able to work long weekends and some week days, often with long hours and extended shifts
- Able to work early mornings and late evenings as needed.
- Able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Able to travel as required. Most include overnight trips with the exception of local events.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment with varying workloads.
- Able to communicate with a wide variety of people.
- Willing to work outside in all types of weather and be prepared for the elements.
- Willing to work in a variety of settings, often with long periods of standing, walking, or physical activity.
- Willing to be flexible to changes in workflow, schedules, and last-minute adjustments.
- Comfortable with long and demanding workdays, including early starts and late finishes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be self-motivated, seek out work to do, and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Experience as an athlete or a volunteer is a plus.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Weekends as needed
- Weekends only

Work Location: In person
