- **What does the People Team look like?**

The People Experience Specialist is an integral part of our Bench People Team. The People Team are a warm and caring bunch, obsessed with creating an incredible place to work for our Benchmates. We're also one of the most critical functions in our business. The People Team carefully manages the employee experience from beginning to end. This is where you come in. We are reimagining the way we work at Bench. We're making intentional decisions about how we support productivity, enablement and development across the organization, in an equitable way, and in a way that promotes our culture and fosters deeper connection, inclusion and belonging.

It's a really exciting time to join this team. We have big ambitions for the experience we want to create for our Benchmates. Luckily we have a stellar group of humans to support you to achieve big things.

**What you'll get up to**:

- Overseeing the entire employee journey at Bench, critically evaluating and continually improving our Benchmate experience from onboarding to offboarding
- Partnering with leaders of our People Team to define and build our Employee Value Proposition.
- Helping to bring our People strategy to life, building an environment where our Benchmates can produce amazing work in connected and collaborative ways. You'll do this in a number of ways, like:

- Developing and rolling out best work practices (collaboration, building connection, communication, etc.)
- Co-designing and managing how we come together as a company both virtually and in person for collaboration and connection
- Collaborating with our DEI Team to honor and raise visibility around the celebrations, commemorations, and remembrance days that matter most to traditionally decentered folks
- Empowering Benchmates to prioritize their mental and physical wellness, through the development and roll out of wellness initiatives and programs in partnership with our Total Rewards team
- Helping to develop and manage our recognition strategy (monetary and non monetary) in collaboration with People Team leaders to ensure our Benchmates are recognized and rewarded
- Partner with Total Rewards to align our development, growth and recognition programs with our annual review cycles
- Implementing our employee listening strategy, including managing the ongoing Bench Pulse program creating action plans based on findings
- Coaching and educating leaders across Bench as they support both in-person and distributed teams
- Constantly sourcing the latest thinking, research, best practices and feedback on how to be an effective hybrid workforce and critically evaluating people programs and processes
- Ensuring our Benchmates have the tools they need to work remotely & in-person
- Bringing our Bench Values to life by weaving them into all aspects of the employee cycle

**What you'll need**:

- A self-starter mentality, with a history of solving problems and seeing projects through from vision to a successful reality
- Experience working remote or supporting, developing, or managing a remote or distributed workforce
- Strong relationship building skills, particularly in building and sustaining cross-functional relationships
- Experience with change management and project design/management
- Zoom-in, Zoom-out - You can take a big-picture perspective to identify and stay focused on what's most important, then zoom-in on the details to execute seamlessly
- Experience thinking creatively and prototyping new ideas
- Experience operating in a constantly changing environment
- A true ambassador for our Benchmates. You are the voice of our Benchmates, you're passionate about employee experience and solve for the whole human
