Prairie Gear Mfg is a small business in Winnipeg, MB R2R 1V6. We have been in business since 1980. We specialize in the manufacturing of bevel, parallel and multi-ratio gear box and custom made parts for the OEM and replacement market.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee our operations and lead our team to success. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the assembly department and machine shop. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity
- Schedule and assign work orders to the machine shop and assembly dept.
- Purchasing materials for customer orders.
- Manage and motivate a team of employees, providing guidance and support
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong business acumen with a track record of driving results
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
