The Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel is a local, family-owned hotel operated as a franchised property with Marriott International. The hotel consists of 237 guest rooms, conference facilities, Carvers Steakhouse & Lounge, Scarlet Craft kitchen, as well as an indoor waterpark.

This position reports directly to the Rooms Division Manager and is a dual role. The schedule for this full-time position is through the night. The Security Officer continuously walks the hotel ensuring quiet hours are acknowledged ensuring our guests feel safe and secure during their stay. Security plays an important role in ensuring all entrances are secured and that there are no mischievous activities surrounding the building. In this position, you will be responsible for handling security complaints, concerns, and requests. You will also assist the Hotel Night Desk and Guest Services with duties & tasks during the security shift.

Due to the overnight shift, Security is also assigned various sanitizing tasks and maintenance monitoring while on shift.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow Marriott brand standards and ensure guest satisfaction in every interaction with a consistent positive attitude.
- Review guest reservations through your shift to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure rates and account folios are set up and managed correctly.
- Communicate key information to appropriate departments and colleagues.
- Ensure special requests by guests are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain and balance a cash float during each shift.
- Answer questions about events/activities/concerts
- Balance and reconcile daily charges, sales and house accounts.
- Complete and distribute end-of-day reports to various departments.
- Process commissions and compile daily operational reports.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to attend to problematic situations and offer solutions (ensuring all is being communicated in hotel systems)
- Computer literate. Proficiency with Marriott systems (e.g., Lightspeed, GXP, MARSHA) is a strong plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator.
- Passionate about guest service and hospitality.
- Possess a valid driver's license and be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and deal with difficult and sensitive situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; preferred additional hospitality course/training.
- Hotel front office experience is an asset.
- Have the Serve it Right SK Certificate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
