Role Overview

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial activities and ensuring best practices in accounting, invoicing, and reporting. This role combines strategic input with hands-on execution, including assisting with bids and proposals, client onboarding, and daily financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including payables, receivables, reconciliations, and payroll entries.
- Prepare and issue accurate client invoices in a timely manner.
- Support business development by assisting with bid preparation and financial inputs for proposals.
- Oversee customer setup processes, including contracts, accounts, and billing arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting best practices and applicable standards.
- Maintain daily financial records, including employee time entry tracking.
- Generate financial reports and forecasts for management review.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial systems, cost controls, and efficiency.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and other stakeholders as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA designation an asset but not required).
- 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Xero or similar platforms is an asset).
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a small-team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business functions.
