**About the Role**:
The Product Manager will work under the supervision of a Global Product Manager and is responsible for continuous improvement campaigns, product enhancement and maintenance projects, ERP administration, general technical support and supporting larger projects. This position will also support a variety of processes including Notification of Change/Management of Change, Private Label, and Stage Gate.
As the Product Manager you will also be responsible for designing, developing, and testing products to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards. You will perform extensive testing and analysis to identify and troubleshoot any issues with the product design or performance. You will be required to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturing and production.
**Responsibilities**:
- Take new products from the concept stage to production stage.
- Identify capital requirements and potential sources (support operations)
- Direct Advanced Product Quality Planning cross-functional teams and activities.
- Support engineering process by order assignments, including qualification and test proposals, reporting, and engineering trials.
- Understand product and market standards (UL, FBC, FM, NSF and others) as it pertains to product and/or system configuration and approvals.
- Work with industry regulatory bodies to achieve product certifications.
- Review potential projects and support generation of engineering solutions with well thought out project plan including; Materials investigation, test planning and execution, regulatory and code compliance, and creation of engineering documentation.
- Support establishment and implementation of product approval programs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as product specifications, purchased material specifications.
- Lead technical component specification, sourcing, and supplier development.
- Reviews customer claims identifying root causes and leads the development and implementation of corrective action plans in conjunction with the process engineer and the operations team.
- Guided by the appropriate manufacturing direction, perform inspections of manufactured products separating defects or non-conforming products from the acceptable ones.
- Monitor inventory for indirect materials used in the inspection and certification processes.
- Monitor vendor compliance with quality standards.
- Design, manage and control management of Notification of Change process.
- Support Product Management in the Private Label and Stage Gate/NPD processes.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Ability to effectively multitask, meet deadlines, and manage multiple demands concurrently.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of corrective actions and root cause analysis
- Experience with Quality Management Systems.
- Proactive and driven, adept at working autonomously while consistently adhering to industry-leading standards and methodologies, with a proactive approach to quality control and assurance.
