What will you do?
- The strategic management of physical assets (vehicles) of the company, including procurement, replacement, and disposal.
- Assess all company vehicles & equipment for replacement.
- Optimizes the use of the fleet throughout the lifecycle.
- Establish and provide oversight for service standards, policies and procedures.
- Negotiate parts/fluids/tools/services with vendors & manufacturers.
- Performs vendor visits/reviews.
- Ensures maintenance of company vehicles & equipment in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Ensures the safety, availability and reliability of the fleet.
- Controls the maintenance costs.
- Obtain driver abstracts on a yearly basis.
- Approving all repairs and maintenance costs in accordance with approval matrix.
- Reviews all maintenance schedules on an annual basis.
- Provide oversight for all shop maintenance outsourcing and outside garage work.
- Provide oversight for all warranty, performance, disputed repair invoices or repair issues.
- Provide oversight for all Fleet branch locations and physical facilities.
- Collect, analyze, and present key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to fleet services to management and operations.
- Inventory management.
- Responsible for Fleet Services budgets and actual results.
- Provides a long-term view of vehicle replacement capital expenditures and vehicle. operational expenditures according to fleet projections.
- Proactively lead the safety and environment programs within the fleet maintenance operations to ensure a safe and productive working environment for all employees. Provide coaching, leadership and development to hourly team members within fleet operations. Build strong working relationships with hourly employees within transportation/fleet maintenance operations.
- Leadership of the union/management processes for the fleet maintenance operations. Active leadership of the innovation program for the fleet maintenance operations. Active participation in/leadership of specific projects related to transportation/logistics.
- Provide overall market unit support to the Regional Logistics operations related to compliance to applicable safety and environmental regulations. This role will provide resource support to the facility management teams on the implementation/execution of programs within this area. Additionally, this role will work to ensure consistency between the various operations.

What do you bring?
- Proven work experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role.
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills. Operational understanding of replacement parts, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations pertinent to licenses, certificates, stickers, inspections, repairs, maintenance, health and safety, labour and environment.
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of SQL an asset.
