**SUMMARY**

Manual assembly of electronic components including complex and accurate parts according to assembly procedures, custom specifications, and quality standards. This position reports to the Production Supervisor in the Manual Department.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform hand soldering and test, mixed assemblies and custom part
- Component preparation, placement and installation
- Final assembly and/or pack and ship as required
- Mechanical assembly as required
- Conduct repair/touch up/modifications on the products as required
- Be able to work on different aspects of the manufacturing operations
- Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set
- Participate in all team level quality improvement initiatives, 5s, and safety procedures
- Other duties as required

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of standards in electronic components handling preferred
- Familiar with Lean principles would be an asset
- Hands on manufacturing skills such as manual soldering is required
- Basic Excel experience is required
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Good work habits and housekeeping

**LOCATION**
- The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A and/or Building B)
- Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate

**WORK HOURS**
- Normal scheduled hours of work: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Afternoon Shift
