We are looking for a highly motivated, “hands-on” individual to join our Mechanical Assembly Team for the assembly of a new generation of high speed, automated manufacturing equipment. The role includes mechanical assembly of machine components, interpreting mechanical drawings and pneumatic schematics, machining of parts, machine mechanical start-up, testing and debug and some travel for machine installation and commissioning support.

**Shift**:

- Monday-Thursday 3:30pm to 1:00am, Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm.
- Overtime is available on Saturday, depending on business needs.
- Afternoon shift includes a 10% shift premium.

**Pay**:

- Competitive pay rate selected based on relevant experience.
- Compensation package also includes Tesla stock grant.

**What You'll Do**:

- Assembly of precision machine components with some machining of parts (milling and turning) as required for assembly of custom engineered automated machinery.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings assembly drawings and detail component drawings.
- Mechanical systems testing and debug, systems commissioning, installation and troubleshooting of machines on-site.

**What You’ll Bring**
- College Degree or Certificate in Mechanical Technology, Toolmaking or Machining, Millwright, completed apprenticeship, or equivalent
- 5+ years of proven experience in assembly of custom automated machinery or other precision mechanical assembly is a strong plus
- Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, mechanical drawings and pneumatic schematics
- Familiar with basic hand tools and basic measuring tools (Vernier, micrometers, height gauge etc.) to tolerances of.001”. Must bring your own tools
- Familiar with basic operation of machine shop equipment (lathe / mill / surface grinder)
- Ability to travel up to 30-50% domestically and internationally to Europe and USA. Flight, food, and lodging are covered. Must have and maintain a valid passport
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Overtime

Ability to Relocate:

- Markham, ON L6G 1B9: Relocate before starting work (required)
