Srt Operator Technician, Afternoon Shift

**SUMMARY**
The SRT Operator Technician performs solder and manual assembly of various electronic components. You are responsible for the touch up of wave soldered parts on the assemblies and hand soldering of PCB assemblies. The SRT Operator will also be accountable for rework and repair on the PCB assemblies.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform assigned production steps per work instructions
- Operate the SRT machine assist in developing SRT profiles, and set up tooling and procedures
- Create, update and maintain SRT programs
- Solder through hole and SMT components on the PCB
- Communicate all issues found during hand soldering to the Supervisor
- Verify all processes are performed to the documentation
- Co-ordinate with shift Supervisor and take priorities from them for work
- Integrate product if required, will include simple assembly instructions
- Repair and rework through hole and SMT components
- Operate repair stations
- Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines
- Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production
- Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects
- Perform any other relevant tasks to help any other area in production as needed
**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE**
- Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole and SMT components, drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control
- Experience with IPC Standards with respect to PCB repair and ISO 9002 would be an asset
- Ability to read drawings, Bills of Material (BOMs) and schematics
- Team player
- Hardworking and reliable
- Detail oriented
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Minimum 2 -3 years of soldering experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or enrolled in a technical school
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge an asset
- Experience with IPC Standards and ISO 9002 would be helpful
**LOCATION**
- The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A and/or Building B).
- Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate.
**WORK HOURS**
- Normal scheduled hours of work: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Afternoon Shift.
