**Position Summary**

As key member of the Finance and Administration team, the Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the full-cycle accounting activities of Sasco, including managing the month-end close process to meet reporting deadlines.

The Accounting Supervisor will be a leader and mentor to the Finance team, demonstrating adherence to accounting standards and policies to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.

This position r**e**ports directly to the Vice President, Finance & Administration.

**Key Job Duties and Responsibilities**

Work shall include but not necessarily be bound by the following:

- **Supervisory**:
Provide training and guidance to the accounting team to ensure skill development and proficiency.
- **Financial Statement Preparation**:
Review and maintain accuracy in the General Ledger.

Collaborate with the accounting team to complete all necessary month-end tasks before the financial close.

Prepare draft financial statements.

Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for year-end reviews and audits.
- **Accounts Receivable Management**:
Record and process incoming payments from customers into the accounting system.
- **Accounts Payable Management**:
Oversee the management of the AP inbox, handling inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.

Handle the preparation and execution of weekly EFT transactions.

Administer and oversee the invoice processing system to ensure efficiency and accuracy (non-job specific invoices).
- **Procurement Coordination**:
Manage the procurement for office essentials such as coffee, stationary and janitorial services.
- **Cross-Functional Support**:
Provide relief and support in various accounting areas like payroll, cash management, job costing and job invoice processing.

**Key Relationships Held With**
- Internal management and staff
- Vendors; sales reps and their accounting teams
- Customers

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor of Accounting or Finance degree
- Working towards the completion of the CPA designation
- 3-4 years of full-cycle accounting experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experience leading a team of 2+
- Construction experience an asset
- Exposure to administering HR an IT procedures an asset

**Skill Requirements**
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Tech savvy with proficiency in using Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, SharePoint, Forms and Lists)
- Proficiency in Sage 300 Construction an asset
- Thirst for personal development and growth
