**Overview**

**Duties**
- Process payroll for 35-50 employees accurately and on time with PayWorks
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll adjustments, deductions, and benefits enrollments.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions related to payroll transactions. Input and post A/R invoices and receipts.
- EFT payments to vendors
- Process employee expense accounts
- Prepare documentation for holdback release.
- Prepare Statutory Declarations for payment.
- Collaborate with the human resources department to ensure seamless integration of employee data into the payroll system.
- Assist with preparation of year end reports for accounting.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries regarding payroll processes.
- Assist with various other administrative duties as required including answering incoming calls.

**Skills**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles related to payroll processing.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping duties, A/R, A/P, year end.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
- Knowledge of human resources practices as they relate to payroll management.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

**Requirements**:

- National Payroll institute courses are an asset
- Post Secondary diploma in bookkeeping or relevant discipline
- Proficiency with SAGE software an asset
- Strong knowledge of office procedures and practices
- 5 years minimum experience in payroll or bookkeeping

Pay: $65,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
