JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist provides Human Resources functions including full cycle recruitment services, salary /benefits administration, human resources information management system, labour relations and documentation to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency while providing an employee-oriented culture.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Three (3) year diploma/degree in Business Human Resources.
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or actively working towards obtaining the designation.
Three (3) years’ experience in human resources generalist role in a unionized healthcare preferred.
HRIS and Applicant Tracking System experience (e.g., Quadrant, Njoyn).
Experience with collective agreements in a multi unionized setting.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Strong administrative and data management skills.
Ability to raise issues pro-actively and in a timely manner.
Demonstrated advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment and take initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent telephone etiquette and ability to share important information to the team in an accurate manner.
Superior interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and willingness to be flexible to meet department needs.
Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
Demonstrated appreciation and respect for protocol, professionalism and confidentiality.

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday, Weekend work may be required as needed.
**Other**: All job offers will require compliance with our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for proof of full vaccination (two doses) unless provided with a medical exemption or an accomodation under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
