Sun Glow is looking for a **Procurement and Inventory Specialist** who will be responsible for all aspects of sourcing and purchasing goods that meet both cost effectiveness and quality standards, managing inventory replenishment activities, ensuring system accuracy in respect to stock levels and pricing, and conducting cost / benefit analysis of shipping and freight for incoming and outbound orders.

**Location**:Viktoria Park Avenue and Eglinton

**Shift**:8.30am-5.00pm (Monday - Friday)

**Responsibilities**:

- Carrying out key buying and demand planning activities
- Responsible for warehouse inventory counts, transfers and support
- Liaises directly with suppliers as well as responsible for management of supplier relationships.
- Responsible for mastering Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and improving buying efficiencies
- Provides ongoing inventory coordination and support to internal teams
- Creates and maintains SKUs including price and coding changes for all inventory and non
- inventory products within two separate data bases
- Works on continuous improvement of services and reducing costs
- Promotes and develops contact with external suppliers to establish new sources of supply.
- Creates and maintains vendor relationships. Coordinates and/or conducts interviews with current suppliers to improve level of customer services
- Collects and reports statistics and reports from ERP system to measure commodity and/or supplier performance and stock levels
- Attend trade shows to source products etc.
- Issue Purchase orders and follow-up regularly with vendors to ensure product is received on a timely basis and record such dates on ERP system.
- Work with the Production to ensure all project needs are identified and orders placed in ample time to receive the materials when required for manufacturing
- Set and monitor lead times and minimum reorder quantities and ensure orders are placed as per parameters set
- Ensure stock item records are complete and current at all times incorporating any product change information provided by suppliers
- Maintain all technical data related to each product
- Ensure inventory levels are accurate by performing cycle counts regularly
- Source product required for special projects
- Maintain quality and production data to be presented to relevant office staff and management as well as schedule and conduct reviews with production team on findings and areas of improvement
- Ensure adherence to processes and policies related to quality and reporting from production team

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in a relevant discipline. Preferably in a business or supply related discipline with some public procurement experience considered an asset
- Minimum of 4 years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Experience in manufacturing an asset
- Strong negotiating skills, influence and persuasion skills are required
- Strong relationship building and people skills to foster cooperation between diverse groups; the ability to work as an effective team member
- Excellent customer service skills and customer focused approach to work

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
