Marketing Operations Database Support Specialist

The marketing team is looking for a Marketing Operations Analyst, reporting directly into the Director Marketing Operations. This role can be remote in North America or near our headquarters in Toronto, Canada. Prophix is backed and supported by Hg Capital to help further expand its leadership position within the CPM category.

**What You Will Do at Prophix**

The Database Support Specialist will be a part of the Marketing Operations team dedicated to clean, maintain, and govern the Prophix prospecting database by providing powerful and accurate insights into our target prospects. In this role you will be working with best-in-class marketing 3rd party data providers and marketing technology to help identify companies and key influencers at those companies. Additionally, you will be researching Fortune 2,000 enterprises to help us understand their overall priorities, internal organization structures and identify opportunities.

This role offers an opportunity to obtain a solid foundational hands-on experience for anyone seeking to further a long-term career in account-based marketing and marketing operations. The scope of the role is global with an emphasis on North America, Western Europe, and Brazil.
- Drive high levels of data integrity and operational reliability of our standardized business analytics, tools, and processes of the prospecting database.
- Develop reporting requirements to monitor data compliance as well as KPIs and metrics to gauge the health and maturity of data cleanliness.
- Identify areas for data quality improvements and help resolve data issues through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
- Create and maintain data lineage, data dictionary and data catalog.
- Develop strategic plans to access appropriate and necessary data sources to support analyses and gain access to data through collaboration and/or data generation
- Develop a comprehensive and deep understanding of the data we work with to help enhance data quality.
- Conduct regular data cleaning efforts to rid the system of old, outdated, duplicate and/or conflicting data.
- Pursue technical training and development opportunities, strive to continuously build knowledge and skills to make recommendations for iterative improvements.

**Required Qualifications**
- 1-3 years of experience and/or exceptional academic performance
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference for marketing or computer science
- High intellectual horsepower and business acumen
- Attention to detail is crucial in this role; be quick, don’t rush
- Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and 3rd party data providers (ZoomInfo, D&B, DataFox etc.)
- International exposure through business or leisure experiences
- Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located. Must be able to travel internationally.
