Quality Technician

**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensures that processes needed for the Quality Management System established and maintained.
- Report to the Manager-Quality and Continuous Improvement on the performance of the Quality Management System and any need for improvement.
- Make dimensional layout and annual validations as per requirements of the customers.
- Assist Manager-Quality and Continuous Improvement/Director of Quality to prepare PPAP for customers.
- Do MSA study on the measuring equipment.
- Ensures the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the company.
- Has the authority to order the stoppage of work which is not in compliance with quality procedures and written work instructions.
- Continual monitoring for customer satisfaction and continual improvement.
- To represent the company in resolving quality issues and concerns with company suppliers and customers should the Manager-Quality and Continuous Improvement not be available.
- To ensure that quality related deficiencies are properly documented, investigated and corrected.
- To ensure that manufactured products are properly documented and traceable. To provide technical support and training schedules where required.
- Prepares and trains employees in the use of existing and new equipment or production techniques.
- Other duties as required.

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Post-secondary education or Technical Diploma in mechanical, industrial, or related field.
Thorough knowledge of ISO Quality System requirements.
Knowledge of measuring instruments, their use, precision and proper technique to provide accurate and repeatable results. Knowledgeable in statistical process control. MS Office suite.
Basic understanding of plastic behavior an asset.
Or equivalent experience as judged by the hiring manager to their satisfaction.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
Minimum of 3 years related work experience with the educational equivalent training and Quality Inspection knowledge and experience.
Drawing interpretation to create inspection Plan.

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT**

Precikam's working language is french however an extensive knowledge of English is required in the role due to the need to be able to follow instructions and reply to (written and or verbal) our North American customers' quality departments and external auditors.
