Val Caron Home Building Centre, a growing lumber yard in Val Caron, is seeking a dedicated individual, ideally a mature adult, to join our team as the Day Shift Manager.

As the Day Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our lumber yard during daytime hours. Your duties will include:

- **Inventory Management**: Maintain accurate records of lumber inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders as necessary to ensure adequate supply.
- **Staff Supervision**: Lead and supervise yard staff during daytime shifts, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance evaluation.
- **Yard Maintenance**: Ensure the yard is clean, organized, and visually appealing, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
- **Training**: Train and mentor staff to handle lumber products with care, minimizing damage and errors while maximizing efficiency.
- **Customer Service**: Interact with customers, providing assistance and ensuring their needs are met in a friendly and professional manner.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in a lumber yard, construction, or retail environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of lumber products and materials, as well as experience with inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Availability to work daytime shifts on weekdays.
- Preference for older adults with experience and maturity in managing teams.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
