**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Read and interpret blueprints for residential construction projects, including custom single-family homes and multi-family units.
- Prepare material takeoffs and generate accurate quotes using Google Sheets, PDF Annotator, and vendor-supplied programs.
- Communicate with customers, offering knowledgeable guidance and solutions while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanour.
- Collaborate with the senior estimator and owner while working independently within a close-knit team.
- Manage workload efficiently, prioritizing speed without sacrificing essential accuracy.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Strong blueprint reading skills and ability to take precise measurements.
- Solid understanding of residential construction practices and building codes.
- Proficiency with Google Sheets and PDF editing tools.
- Comfortable handling customer-facing interactions with confidence and clarity.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
