To qualify, you will have a minimum of three (3) years field experience in a similar role and a strong general knowledge of practical BAS experience.

The BAS & Field Technician has strong knowledge and understanding of the tools and techniques used to maintain, diagnose problems, and repair HVAC/R and associated electrical systems. The BAS & Field Technician is self-motivated, organized, and self-disciplined, and has experience with programming, job start-up and checkout, and troubleshooting of building automation systems. The BAS & Field Technician is to provide friendly, courteous assistance to clients and senior staff members. The BAS & Field Technician gets instructions from and reports to the Vice President and is required to work independently with the least amount of supervision.

Below are the outlines of The BAS & Field Technician’s responsibilities (including but not limited to):

- Report to the Vice President of Operations.
- Work in a diligent manner.
- Work alongside our Building Automation expert to attain knowledge and experience to be confident in reading drawings, assessing equipment, and doing BAS system installations.
- Work with the Vice President on requests for proposals and preparing proposals for new installations of equipment
- Work with our software developer to provide input on the requirements for the BAS monitoring software.
- Work with the ND Energy Team to troubleshoot client issues.
- Install, inspect, and maintain digital utility meters.
- Install, inspect, and maintain DDC-based systems.
- Read blueprints and identify various HVAC/R equipment functionality and BAS integration features.
- Maintain and troubleshoot onsite communication hardware.
- Perform manual data collection as required.
- Determine the HVAC/R system’s energy use and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
- Perform safety assessments, invoicing & parts management.
- Collaborate with vendors and Condominium Managers remotely to resolve onsite issues.
- Engage and participate in weekly communication meetings with clients and vendors.
- Provide backend support to other departments within the organization.
- Identify and escalate issues that may have a customer impact.
- Look after field and project management.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
